a short bio about the arctic flow from brian:

"the arctic flow started as an idea in 2008 after obtaining some recording equipment. i began layering guitar tracks together to create ambient soundscapes. that was fun, but I wanted to start recording actual songs. so from 2008 to 2009 i eventually recorded a six song ep called i saw the silver sun and put it up on myspace. jacob graham from the drums heard it and contacted me asking if he could release it on his internet label holiday records as a free download. that ep came out in july 2009. in september 2009 i released the single too late to say i'm sorry also on holiday records and a month later another ep called december morning. the first full length release came out in december of 2009 called all the way until december and was a major turning point for the arctic flow. it was later released as a cassette on friendly otter records. but other than that, all those releases were only available as digital downloads.

in 2010, I put out 3 digital singles. in april, lemonade kiss was released on beko-dsl. you can still download it there. in july goodbye oceana came out on holiday records (available at our bandcamp page.) and finally later that year another single, sentiments and artifacts was released on bubbletone discos/club 7.

in may of 2011, i self released a digital only ep called starflow lightning and then in dec of that year, the first cd release came called as close to a kiss as we will ever be on little treasure.

our next cd/ep, dreams you'll never find, came out in december of 2012 on dufflecoat records.

2013 saw the next cd/ep, sunbathing/stargazing being released on shiny happy records.

2014 was amazing as not only i played nyc popfest, but released the next cd/ep january stars on dufflecoat records and my first vinyl 7", lost wishes, on box bedroom rebels." (brian hancheck 2015)
